Welcome to on purpose by mistake. These Terms of Service set out the terms that apply when you visit or use our website, browse our products, or purchase products from us.

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or place an order.

1. About Our Store

on purpose by mistake is an online store offering handmade, 3D-printed, personalised and other creative products.

We reserve the right to update, change or discontinue products, services or website content at any time without notice.

2. Product Information

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, colours and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, because some of our products are handmade or 3D printed, minor variations may occur between individual products. These variations may include small differences in colour, texture, finish or appearance.

Where measurements are provided, they are intended as a guide and may have minor manufacturing variations.

Product photographs may also appear slightly different depending on your device, screen settings or lighting.

3. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation. This confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

a product is incorrectly priced or described;
a product is unavailable;
there is an obvious error in the order;
we suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity; or
we are unable to fulfil the order.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will arrange an appropriate refund.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices displayed on our website are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be successfully completed before an order will be processed and shipped, unless otherwise agreed by us.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If an item has been purchased at an obviously incorrect price, we may contact you regarding the order before processing it.

5. Shipping and Delivery

We will make reasonable efforts to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on the relevant product or checkout page.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to circumstances outside our control, including courier delays, public holidays, weather events or other disruptions.

Once an order has been handed to the applicable delivery provider, delays caused by that provider are outside our direct control.

Please ensure that your delivery address is correct before completing your order. We are not responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under New Zealand consumer law.

6. Custom and Personalised Orders

Where a product is made or personalised according to information supplied by the customer, the customer is responsible for checking that the information provided to us is correct before production begins.

This may include names, wording, colours, designs, measurements or other requested specifications.

We may contact you to clarify information where necessary before beginning production.

Custom and personalised products cannot generally be cancelled or returned simply because you have changed your mind once production has commenced, subject to your rights under applicable New Zealand consumer law.

7. Change-of-Mind Purchases

We do not offer returns, refunds, exchanges or store credit for change-of-mind purchases.

This policy does not affect any rights or remedies that apply under New Zealand consumer law.

8. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not meet the guarantees required by New Zealand consumer law, please contact us at:

11. Third-Party Designs and Products

Where applicable, we will use such designs in accordance with the relevant licence or permission.

Purchasing a physical product from us does not give you ownership of the underlying digital design, model, artwork or intellectual property.

12. Customer-Provided Content

If you provide us with photographs, artwork, text, names, logos or other content for a custom order, you confirm that you have the necessary permission or rights to provide that content for the requested purpose.

You remain responsible for content that you provide to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a custom request where we reasonably believe fulfilling it could infringe another person's rights or breach applicable law.

13. Reviews and Customer Content

If you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, comment or other content relating to our products, you grant us permission to use that content for promotional purposes where permitted by law.

We will not knowingly misrepresent your comments or use your content in a misleading manner.
